Zeek Taylor is known for his stylized watercolors. Using a dry brush technique, he renders intimate detail not often found in the medium.  The work is done on acid free clayboard, a white clay coated masonite panel that has greater strength and longevity than paper.  Each piece is surrounded by a meticulously hand-rendered border.  He has been described as "a colorist with a keen sense of pattern."
An Arkansas native, Zeek studied art at Arkansas State University and the Memphis College of Art.  A former public school art teacher, he now resides in Eureka Springs, AR, one of the foremost art destinations in the nation.
Zeek is the 2012 recipient of the Arkansas Art's Council's Governor's Arts Award for Lifetime Achievement. His work has been displayed four
times during exhibitions at the Arkansas Arts Center. One of his watercolors, an iris, is hanging in the Arkansas Governor's Mansion.
